The Genesis
When Sahil was in his first year of engineering at RMIT, he was offered an internship as a Biomedical Engineer at Barwon Health Hospital in his home city of Geelong, Australia. He was able to experience firsthand how medical devices were being utilized to help people. This experience helped him realize the potential of innovative healthcare devices and the positive impact they could have on society.
Throughout his years in university, he continued to develop his foundational skills in engineering and business.
Exposure to wearable technology
In 2016, while working at a startup company conducting business development focusing on smartwatches, Sahil had the opportunity to travel to Munich, Germany, to attend the annual Wearable Technology conference where he was exposed to wearable technology being utilized in consumer markets. However, he found many of the products on show to be glorified pedometers.
Sahil began to brainstorm ideas of potentially developing his own wearable product but lacked the experience and foundation to start during this time. Not to mention he still had two years of university left and was still in the process of building his first business.
The Beginning of Wear Pemf
After spending 5+ years working in engineering in different sectors including automotive, lighting, and academia, Sahil is putting together all the skills he has developed in engineering and business to make Wear Pemf the best wearable PEMF device out on the market.
